Olive's Best #4
Welcome to Olive’s Fourth Newsletter! It’s finally feeling like summer and we couldn’t be happier! In honour of summer, we thought you could use a refreshing plethora of enjoyment.
First off, we are obsessed with a composer named Ludovico Einaudi. He is simply spectacular- according to us. There is so much soul and feeling in his music. Recently, he came out with a new album called, “Seven Days Walking”. It has been a highlight for our summer, listening to his relaxing and soulful music while getting anything and everything done. He pairs well with gardening, BBQing and writing. We think he will be a perfect pair for anything you’re doing. Give him a listen anywhere you stream music!
We are always looking for an alternative to Tupperware and or plastic use, we found a gal that makes “Togo” containers with fabric and beeswax. They come in all shapes and sizes, depending on what you’d like to custom order. We have enjoyed them so much. Anything from bringing a snack of nuts to sandwiches, these are quite the containers. If you want to order them, message Riley @ email@example.com.
Looking for a perfect “cool-me-down-now” kind of drink for the summer? Look no further. We gave this a shot and loved it. All you need is:
2 cups frozen watermelon 1 cup frozen strawberries 1 frozen banana 1/3 cup plain greek yogurt Splash of honey 1 tbsp chai seeds 1/2 cup almond milk Blend & enjoy!
And last, but not least, here is a sweet little hair video to get you through the hot summer days. Sometimes, we need a simple updo to get that hot, hot hair off of our necks.
"When those summer days have you sweating through everything cute you own...tie that shit up off your neck.
Step 1: brush hair, add dry shampoo if needed. Step 2: section out hair top of ears forward on each side of your head. Step 3: section out rough horseshoe section & backcomb lightly. Step 4: brush down backcombing. Step 5: gather hair behind ears and bring together in a ponytail. secure with a band, not fully pulling hair through loop. Step 6: curl hair on side of head. Step 7: slowly add to ponytail, wrapping around elastic, securing with bobby pins. Step 8: spray and don't sweat the day away!"
That's all for us .. for now! Enjoy the rest of the summer break! Can't wait to see all you beauties before back to school! (We are booking up mid September! Send a note to book your appointment!)
