I think most of us have made it through the snowy weekends and hopefully, we are looking at a warm rest of the fall. Can't believe it's already almost HALF way through the month ... Since it was feeling so 'wintery' out there so quickly, we thought'd we'd share some warm feelings and recipes to help us all make it through the changing seasons!

If you're looking for a little halloween fun this year, we saw that Heritage Park is putting on a 'Ghouls' Night Out." It runs for a few nights and sounds like a fun little time. Apparently, Wednesday Addams will even be there to meet us. (I'm positive everyone should be excited to meet Wednesday.) If you're needing hair or makeup, that's when you give us a buzz so Robyn & Rae can make you as spooky or angelic as desired.

Along with fall settling in, we love to cook with a crockpot, it's so easy and perfect to warm you up after a long working day. Here's one of our favourite recipes to follow and enjoy! (Click the photo for the site with the full set of instructions!) 300-400g short ribs salt & pepper 2 tbps olive oil 3 garlic cloves 1 large onion 2 celery ribs 2 carrots 2 tbsp tomoato paste 2 cups dry red wine (and more to drink....) 2 cups beef stock 2 springs thyme 2 bay leaves **We slow cooked these ribs for 8 hours, the OG recipe calls for an oven.. we prefer the slow cooker. (All the ** means it's changed from the original recipe.) 1. Heat oil in pan, browning ribs & setting aside 2. Add onion and garlic, cooking for 2 minutes 3. Add carrot & celery, cooking until soft. 4. Add tomato paste. 5. Add wine, broth, thyme and bay leaves; stirring until tomato paste is dissolved. **6. Pour sauce into crock pot, adding ribs - ensuring they are submerged in the liquid. **7. Cook for 8 hours on low. **8. Enjoy with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies!

Here's a fun and easy 'spooky' look that can translate into a day of wearing anywhere you're at .. even if it's at the office.. If you're Wednesday Addams... Read ahead...

Want to look like our sweet Wednesday Addams for the day? Follow these EASY steps: Step 1: Dry shampoo & brush your hair. Step 2: Divide hair into two equal sections, clipping one side up to start. Step 3: Brush hair smooth, behind ears and ensuring all "grain" is headed the same direction. Step 4: Braid tightly, securing with elastic. Step 5: Repeat on second side. Step 6: Spray with hairspray and enjoy your spooky day.
